"From the first email contact, our whole stay at les Roches was all we could have possibly asked for. Jon and Julia managed to make us feel welcome and looked after with the minimum of fuss: a major talent! The house was beautiful, comfortable and spacious (we were two families, both with young children) with every convenience and lots of thoughtful touches, the pool a perfect 28 degrees every day. We couldn't recommend the place more highly, and very much hope to go again!"

Les Roches is a traditional village house located on a quite lane in the village of Le Langon and enjoys an enviable combination of an excellent location near to both open country and all the village services, and privacy.

Guests staying at Les Roches enjoy exclusive use of a heated 9 by 4.5m swimming pool (fenced), set in a substantial, enclosed, garden with views out to surrounding fields.  There is a play area with a trampoline, slide and sandpit for children, and a generous terrace in both full sun and under cover.

The property accommodates 12 adults / children plus up to two infants in comfort.  As with our other properties, care has been taken to ensure that the sleeping and living areas are clearly delineated, and that the occupancy has not been stretched. This means no bunk beds or sofa beds, and proper cots (not travel cots) are provided.

Inside there is a light and spacious open plan living area, with comfortable seating for up to 12 people as well as dining for 12.  Entertainment is provided with a flat screen TV which receives both French and British channels (including BBC, CBeebies etc), a DVD player and an Ipod docking station and music system.  There is also high speed wireless internet.

The open plan area continues into the fully equipped kitchen, with a large fridge, hob, oven, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier and all the other equipment you could need to make the most of the delicious local produce.  There is also a table for breakfast or informal meals.  Expansive patio doors, which open full width, give a feeling of the outside indoors.  The terrace outside has dining for 12 under shade.

The five comfortable bedrooms are split into two distinct areas, giving an additional degree of privacy if two families are holidaying together.

Upstairs from the living area are two bedrooms, one double and one triple (three full sized single beds).  Each of the bedrooms has an en-suite shower room.  The triple room also has a nursery area with a large cot (cot bed size) and changing table.  This room can also be made up as a super king sized room if required.

Off a corridor from the living area are three further bedrooms.  There is a spacious king sized bedroom with en-suite shower room, next door is a bedroom with three single beds.  There is a family bathroom with a generous 180cm bath, next to which is a further bedroom with twin beds (can be made into super king bed) and a cot.

The decoration and furnishings in Les Roches have been carefully chosen to provide a well appointed accommodation, with a comfortable (but stylish) "home from home" feel.  As with all our properties children, toddlers and babies are well catered for with high chairs, cots, stair gates, toys and games as well as plastic plates and cups.

Bed linen and towels (bath and beach) are provided, as is mid-stay linen change for parties staying longer than one week. All utilities are included. Pre-prepared meals can be provided, and babysitting services can be arranged.
